April is Move More Month, recognized by the American Heart Association, and students across Bellwood School District 88 are stepping into wellness—literally!
Each student will receive a pedometer in their HOUSE COLOR to track daily steps, encourage healthy habits, and take part in fun, school-wide movement opportunities. These simple trackers make staying active easy—both at school and at home.
Getting Started is Easy:
- Press the reset button each morning to begin tracking steps
- Clip the pedometer to a waistband, pocket, or backpack
- Check progress throughout the day—every step counts!
Families, here’s how you can support your child:
- Encourage wearing the pedometer daily
- Take short walks together or add active time to your routine
- Celebrate progress and milestones along the way
This initiative supports the whole child by promoting physical wellness, focus, and school pride through simple, meaningful movement.
Let’s make April a month of energy, movement, and healthy habits—together.
