Student ID Program Launching Soon!

 

Bellwood School District 88 is introducing a Student Identification (ID) Program to support student safety and accountability across our schools.

The program will begin in a practice phase on September 29, 2025, with all students required to wear their IDs daily starting October 15, 2025.

 


Rollout Timeline:

  • Starting September 24, 2025 – Students will begin receiving their photo IDs, lanyards, and badge holders

  • Beginning September 29, 2025 – Students will practice ID use during their school’s scheduled bus evacuation drill (dates vary by school)

  • By October 15, 2025 – All students will have their IDs and must wear them daily at school, on field trips, and at extracurricular activities

 


Student Expectations:

Students will be expected to:

  • Wear their ID visibly every day at school and during events

  • Scan their ID when boarding and exiting District 88 school buses

  • Report lost, stolen, or damaged IDs to the school office
